Risk pools are state sponsored programs that help people purchase Health insurance. These pools are for people who can afford to purchase health insurance, but cannot get covered due to pre-existing health conditions.
Financial Assistance
Help is available to low-income residents of Ohio who cannot afford to buy health insurance. Medicaid, Healthy Start, Healthy Families, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Project, Ohioýs Best Rx Program, along with other programs offer free or subsidized health insurance coverage, and direct medical services.
